The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed concerning the large range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position designed for intervention experiences a sassa status superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and raise access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
